AstraZeneca runs separate graduate programmes by function, not one single scheme. The UK-linked routes on its early talent page include R&D bioscience and chemistry, data sciences and AI, biometrics, biopharmaceutical development, pharmaceutical technology and development, and operations. This page lists them, explains what the company says about applying and covers its published rules on using AI in applications. Dates are not on the official page, so none are given here.

Choose a route before you apply
Each programme page lists its own skills and locations, so read the one that matches your degree. The Data Sciences & AI page asks for a quantitative science degree and hands-on experience with machine learning or statistics, while R&D routes are aimed at scientists. Applying to the wrong route wastes a place you could have competed for.
Using AI in your application: the company’s own rules
AstraZeneca publishes a candidate guidance page on AI use. It welcomes AI for research, refining a CV or practising interview questions, as long as you personalise the result and are open about it if asked. It lists as misuse: misrepresenting skills or experience, generating real-time answers during interviews or assessments, and using recording or transcription tools without consent. Treat that as the line when you prepare.
How the process runs
After you submit, you get an acknowledgement email and hear back once the advert closes. The company says early talent updates can take four to eight weeks after the closing date.
