Siemens Graduate Scheme 2027: Mobility Route, SGP & How to Apply
Siemens does not run one UK graduate scheme. There are two routes, and it matters which one you mean. Siemens Mobility Limited, the rail business, has an open “register your interest” posting for graduate and placement roles starting from summer 2027. Separately, the Siemens Graduate Programme (SGP) is a global two-year scheme for master’s graduates. This guide covers both so you can tell which fits you. If you are comparing engineering employers, see our Airbus Graduate Scheme and BT Graduate Scheme guides.

The Siemens Mobility route
Siemens Mobility says it has over 5,500 people across 30+ UK sites and three major manufacturing hubs, working on projects from digital signalling on the East Coast Main Line to new trains for London’s Piccadilly line. Its official posting (Job ID 512295, posted 1 July 2026) is not an application to a specific role. Siemens says your details are reviewed and matched against upcoming graduate and intern programmes starting next summer onwards, and that you should apply directly when you see a role you want.
Three points from the posting are worth planning around. Siemens reserves the right to close registrations based on volumes, so register early. It also says it may invite you to events where you can be talent-spotted. And for early careers roles it cannot consider applicants who need visa sponsorship, so check your right to work before you spend time on this route.

Who can apply
For Siemens Mobility, you need to be working towards or to have completed a relevant engineering or business-related degree, plus what Siemens calls a growth mindset, flexibility and willingness to learn. For the SGP the bar is higher: a completed or nearly completed master’s with above-average grades, work experience during or between your studies, and at least four months studying or working abroad. Siemens lists these on the SGP page.
How the Siemens Graduate Programme works
The SGP lasts 24 months and is built from three assignments of eight months each, one of them abroad at one of Siemens’ locations worldwide. Siemens describes a community of around 100 active participants from 20 nationalities, a personal mentor from the start and a development manager who helps design your individual path. Participants take on real project work from the first assignment. Alumna Abiola, who joined Siemens Mobility through the SGP in 2020, describes a first assignment building a business intelligence pipeline to understand the market for a new business area.
Siemens graduate scheme application process

Siemens describes the SGP process in three steps, with slight variations by country:
- CV screening. A review of your CV and documents against the eligibility criteria above.
- Initial interview. In person, by phone or by video. In some countries you are also invited to a psychometric assessment.
- Assessment centre. Virtual or on-site, with SGP decision-makers present.
Siemens does not accept CVs by email: use the “Apply now” button or jobs.siemens.com. Siemens also warns that it never asks for financial information during selection and that genuine interview invitations come from an official Siemens email address, never Gmail.
How to prepare
- Read the Mobility posting and note which sites and business areas match your degree.
- Prepare examples of teamwork and learning from projects, placements or societies. Our assessment centre guide and survival guide cover the group-exercise habits that carry over.
- Make your CV readable by applicant systems: see our guide to ATS-friendly resumes.
- For the SGP, be ready to explain your experience abroad and why you want an international assignment.
Siemens graduate scheme salary
Siemens does not publish a single graduate salary on the pages we opened, and the Mobility posting gives no pay figure. On Glassdoor, graduate programme submissions average about £28,000 base across 110 reports, while Glassdoor’s own estimate puts the typical range at roughly £28,100 to £40,100. Those are reported figures, mostly older UK entries, so treat them as a guide and check the pay in your offer. To see what a figure looks like after tax, use Debut’s Paycheck Calculator.
Siemens graduate scheme vs other engineering employers
Siemens Mobility’s rail focus sits closest to the technical routes at Airbus, whose AGGP is a two-year rotational programme, and the engineering tracks at BT. See every programme on our Graduate Scheme hub.
