The UBS graduate programme in the UK is the Graduate Talent Program (GTP), an 18 to 24-month programme in which, according to the UBS Graduate Talent Program page, rotation is key in most divisions. For the 2027 intake, the UK roles we could verify have already closed: UBS says UK and EMEA applications typically open in August with further roles posted through September, and the 2027 adverts we opened closed between 15 and 30 September 2026. This guide explains who UBS accepts, the stages, what UBS does not publish (including salary) and what to do if you missed this round.

When does the UBS graduate programme open?
UBS says UK and EMEA Graduate Talent Program applications typically start opening in August, with additional opportunities posted throughout September, and each role is advertised for an initial four weeks and may remain open until filled. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The three 2027 UK adverts we opened had all closed by the end of September 2026 (Reported), so for most divisions the 2027 window has passed; plan for August 2027 if you are targeting the next cycle. Compare every employer in our graduate scheme opening dates table.
UBS graduate programme divisions and locations
According to the UBS early careers page, UBS offers early careers routes in Asset Management, Global Wealth Management, the Investment Bank (Global Banking, Global Markets and Research), Group Functions and Technology, plus Personal & Corporate Banking in Switzerland. UBS does not name UK cities on the pages we opened. The adverts we saw were for London (Global Markets and Human Resources) and Edinburgh (Global Wealth Management) (Reported). The Global Markets advert asked candidates to show how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency (Reported).
Who can apply to the UBS graduate programme?
The UBS Graduate Talent Program page sets three conditions for UK and EMEA: you graduated in the last 24 months or will have met all graduation requirements by the programme start date; you have no more than two years of full-time work experience; and you are on track for a 2:1 (or equivalent) in your first undergraduate degree. You do not need a finance degree. You may apply to only one programme within the UK per academic year. We found no right-to-work or visa wording on the pages we opened, so check the specific advert.

UBS graduate application process: stages
UBS says stages may differ slightly by programme and region. The stages it lists are:
- Online application with CV. UBS says cover letters are not asked for in most regions.
- Online assessments. Depending on the business area: verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, inductive-logical reasoning and the UBS Culture Match. You must finish within 7 days (168 hours) with no retakes, and the tests are sent shortly after applying unless you passed them in the last six months (per the UBS early careers FAQ).
- Pre-recorded video interview. UBS says you “might receive” one; no duration is stated.
- Final round interviews. Virtual or in person; no format or duration is stated.
The word “Superday” and stage durations do not appear on the UBS pages we opened, so treat any outside account of the final round as unverified. The one graduate account we found, Lawuratu’s 2023 story, calls the assessment day the most challenging part.
How to prepare for the UBS graduate programme
Plan for the next cycle
Most 2027 UK adverts closed in September, so start preparing now for roles posted from August 2027.
Practise the four reasoning tests
Verbal, numerical and inductive-logical tests are sent within days of applying, with a 7-day limit and no retakes.
Prepare for the UBS Culture Match
It is part of the online assessments for some areas.
Apply to one programme
UBS allows only one UK application per academic year.
Have an AI example ready
One advert asked candidates to evidence responsible, experimental use of AI.
UBS graduate salary and benefits
UBS does not publish a graduate salary on the pages we opened (Not published), and the targetjobs mirrors of its 2027 adverts showed no salary either. We could not verify a Glassdoor or other third-party figure, so we do not quote one. UBS’s employee benefits page lists firm-wide benefits rather than programme-specific ones: health and well-being support, retirement programmes, the Equity Plus programme, insurance, hybrid and flexible working, paid annual vacation, parental leave and UBS University, plus a free annual health assessment for permanent employees in the UK. Ask about pay at offer stage.
UBS graduate programme structure and training
The GTP starts with a two-day induction and “Ready 4 Work” training, then a Power Skills curriculum and an AI Fluency Pathway, and ends with a Career Empowerment workshop. Graduates are supported by a Junior Talent team, a line manager and a buddy. UK adverts we opened describe 18 months with one or more rotations (Reported).
How UBS compares with other UK graduate schemes
UBS publishes less than most banks on pay and stages, but it is clearer than most about when its window opens: August to September. If you missed the 2027 UBS round, banks with later closing dates include J.P. Morgan, HSBC, Goldman Sachs and BlackRock. All are in our graduate scheme opening dates table.
