It’s never been more competitive to get a job with a top graduate employer – and one of the biggest reasons cited for rejecting candidates is their lack of “soft skills”; but what does that even mean? The phrase itself is vague, shrouded in mystery (and frankly seems like a cop-out).
That’s why we’re holding a series of events to help students better understand what employers actually mean by “soft skills”. This is your chance to ask some of the UK’s biggest graduate employers which soft skills they believe need to be championed and invested in – and most importantly how you can begin building them.’
This info will be used to curate an evening of honest discussions, with live graduate employers present plus an independent careers professional, providing quality advice on:
– What “soft skills” actually are 🤷
– How you can grow them if you’re missing them 🌱
– How you can showcase them if you already have them 🏆
– What employers are really looking for 👀
Each evening will feature a live Q&A session with graduates who successfully applied to various graduate schemes, including to companies like Capgemini, Aberdeen Standard, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and more, giving you the best insights and tips.
There will also (of course) be pizza and networking.
