A graduate is invited to join a new generation technology company which has grown to become the market leader in battery storage in the GB power industry. Noriker Power, specialises in the design, software development, project management and commissioning of battery storage facilities that provide balancing services and flexibility, all of which is crucial as the UK transitions towards a zero carbon economy powered by renewables. As a fast-growth developer, Noriker Power is delivering a portfolio of energy storage and hybrid energy generation assets on behalf of an Energy Investment Fund.

As an Asset Optimiser, you will be involved from an early stage in helping to develop trading systems and market analytics, improving our suite of forecasting and pricing models, whilst also taking responsibility for the optimal despatch & trading of flexible generation assets. For fresh graduates, trading experience is not required and you will be trained and mentored by very experienced, top class energy analysts.

Duty and Responsibilities

Execute approved strategies as part of a 24/7 Shift Trading Team,

Trading power contracts of material financial value and direct P&L impact.

Research GB power market and real time operation of National Grid balancing actions

We are looking for a smart and driven professionals who are motivated by technical challenges and who have the vision to join a growing, dynamic renewable energy company.


Must be degree qualification in STEM subject from a redbrick university, minimum 2.1 grade

Enthusiasm for renewable energy and the GB electricity market

Solid quantitative skills and problem solving abilities

At least one year work or post-graduate experience

Comfortable with programming scripting languages

A self-starter and a quick learner thriving in a fast paced collaborative environment

Capable of dealing with pressure and paying attention to detail

Valid UK driving licence.

Able to work permanently in the UK.
