Job description

Seeking to support students working towards a career in the Communications profession, the Agency offers an internship programme for students in their third or final year of study. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your understanding of the FSA and our work whilst developing vital contacts throughout the Agency.

Working alongside the wider Communications Division, including our counterparts in England and Wales, our team exists to ensure that FSA messaging reaches the right people, through the channels that are best for them. The opportunities in this area are always growing, and as a forward-thinking organisation, were looking for people who can help us rise to the challenges ahead.

The organisation in Northern Ireland is responsible for the provision of advice on food safety and diet and nutrition issues to consumers, and the post-holder will work alongside colleagues and a range of stakeholders to enable this. From monitoring Northern Ireland digital channels and reporting on social media to responding to public queries and creating high quality content that can engage consumers across multiple channels, this role will offer plenty of insight into communications work in a government department.

Selection process details

This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills.

Full details of the selection process are detailed in the attached candidate pack. This will consist of shortlisting against the essential and desirable person specification criteria stated. If successful at shortlisting stage, you will be invited to the final selection stage consisting of a Behaviours-based interview.
