Working at General Motors has been a truly fulfilling experience. As a Senior Engineer, I’ve had the opportunity to work on innovative vehicle technology that has pushed the industry forward. The collaborative environment and the access to resources make every day an exciting challenge. Management genuinely values employee input and promotes professional growth with training programs that focus on both hard and soft skills. However, the company’s size can sometimes mean that it takes time for new ideas to be approved and implemented. This process can be frustrating but is part of working in a global company.

I’ve been with GM for over six years in the Marketing Department, and my experience has been very positive. The company offers fantastic benefits and places a strong emphasis on work-life balance. I feel supported by my managers, who encourage me to take on new projects and grow within the organization. However, sometimes there is a disconnect between departments, which can make cross-functional collaboration a bit challenging. Despite this, GM’s culture of innovation and respect keeps me motivated to stay with the company for the long term.

My role as a Supply Chain Manager at GM has allowed me to work with some of the most talented people in the industry. The company is committed to sustainability, and I’m proud to contribute to GM’s mission of a greener future. The technology we work with is top-notch, and there’s a genuine commitment to process improvement. The workload can be heavy, though, especially during peak times, and sometimes the pace can be intense. Nonetheless, the satisfaction of making a difference and seeing the impact of our work on a global scale is worth it.

Working at General Motors as a Software Developer has been both challenging and rewarding. GM is continually advancing its tech stack, and we get to work on projects that genuinely impact the customer experience. The team spirit and support from colleagues are strong, and there are many opportunities to learn new skills. One drawback is that the internal processes and systems are sometimes outdated, which can slow down development.
