Manchester added 241,000 jobs over the past decade — 20% growth against a 14% national benchmark — and is up 10.5% on jobs over the past year alone. 2. Leeds
Leeds is up 10.1% on jobs this year, with finance and business now accounting for 38% of the city’s economy. It’s increasingly positioned as the UK’s second fintech hub after London, drawing graduate schemes from major banks and insurers.
3. Bristol
Bristol has grown 5.3% this year, anchored by tourism, IT, aerospace and finance. Its aerospace cluster around Filton continues to be a major graduate employer, alongside a growing creative-tech scene.
