Job Description
IBM is seeking a dedicated and security-cleared Mission Data Analyst (TS/SCI CI POLY) in Reston, VA, to support advanced data-driven solutions and mission-critical intelligence analysis. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills and security clearance to help IBM provide critical insights, optimize data workflows, and drive decision-making processes for federal missions.
Duties and Work Process
- Collect, organize, and interpret sensitive data from multiple classified sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, and mission leads) to develop and maintain advanced analytics solutions.
- Identify areas of improvement in existing intelligence processes and recommend data-driven strategies for optimization.
- Prepare detailed reports, visualizations, and briefings for key stakeholders and leadership.
- Maintain strict compliance with security protocols and ensure all data handling processes adhere to TS/SCI CI Poly guidelines.
- Conduct regular evaluations of data systems, tools, and sources to enhance the quality and reliability of mission-critical information.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph (mandatory).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven experience in data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: data visualization software (e.g., Tableau), SQL, Python, or R.
- Exceptional communication skills to present complex data findings in a clear, concise manner.
- Knowledge of intelligence processes, federal regulations, and data governance standards.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-disciplinary teams in a dynamic and secure environment.
Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within an intelligence or national security environment.
- Proven track record working with large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating on multi-departmental or cross-agency programs is highly desirable.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- An advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, CompTIA Security+) is a plus.
