Job Description
Delta Air Lines is seeking a Crew Resources - Data Analyst to support the strategic goals of the Crew Resources team by analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to improve operational performance. This position will be instrumental in optimizing crew utilization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing the decision-making process through data-driven insights.
Duties and Work Process
- Analyze large datasets related to crew scheduling, performance, and operational metrics.
- Develop, maintain, and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and visualizations for crew resource management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance crew productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct predictive modeling and statistical analysis to forecast crew requirements and potential operational impacts.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular audits and validations.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data findings to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies relevant to data analytics and crew resource management.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages.
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and present insights clearly.
- Familiarity with predictive modeling, machine learning techniques, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the aviation, logistics, or transportation industries.
- Experience in using data-driven approaches to improve operational processes is highly desirable.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Tableau Certification, Python for Data Science) are a plus.
