The Industrial Placement provides you a great opportunity to gain exposure to many areas within our Wealth and Personal Banking business in the UK and will help you understand how we work with, and support, our customers on a day-to-day basis.

During your Industrial Placement, you will expand your knowledge while gaining the experience and skills to learn how to thrive in a global bank. You will be supported throughout your placement by a team of diverse colleagues who will help to build your understanding of Wealth and Personal Banking and encourage you to grow and present ideas with confidence.
What you will do
As a Business Support Officer, you will join one of our specialist teams where you’ll experience working in a fast-paced, friendly and supportive environment. This may include areas such as Banking & Propositions, Chief Control Office, Chief Operating Office, Distribution, Insurance and Wealth & Advice. We also have opportunities to work in M&S Bank or first direct.
You will support the management and execution of the strategic priorities of HSBC UK, and have remote interaction with global and regional teams in other locations and other business areas and functions across the bank. You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved with projects that influence the direction of our bank, as well as learn and understand the importance of protecting the interests of our customers at all times.

Requirements: You will have obtained at least 300 UCAS points pre-September 2017 and 120 post September 2017 in accordance with UCAS Tariff changes across your top three A-Levels or equivalent, excluding General Studies (AS Levels and GCSEs are not considered). You will have achieved or will be on track to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 Degree classification / 3.2 GPA or higher or overseas equivalent to this. You will be UK nationally mobile. Be fluent in English.
