The general administration duties within this role may include:

  • Receive, process and distribute all incoming mail and e-mail etc. in a timely fashion
  • Typing of routine correspondence as required in connection with the administration of the school
  • Assisting with the answering of calls into the school and taking down messages effectively
  • To welcome and greet visitors and parents as they walk into the office area, in a professional and friendly manner
  • Ensuring the school diary is up to date at all times
  • Organise the prompt distribution of school letters on a regular basis
  • Dealing with basic first aid (training will be provided)
  • Handling cash and counting weekly monies
  • Photocopying and scanning documents
  • Updating the notice board on a weekly basis
  • Assist in the smooth operation of the school office
  • Any other general admin duties and ad-hoc duties as defined by management

Desired qualifications

A minimum of three GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above including English - other equivalent qualifications are acceptable OR prior experience in business or administration role.
