During your apprenticeship you will learn and develop to perform the following duties via one-to-one coaching, mentoring and via a bespoke training programme:

  • Handling inbound customer sales calls
  • Making Outbound Calls
  • Using bespoke IT software
  • Raising quotes
  • Processing customer orders
  • Producing marketing content
  • Follow up calls to marketing campaigns
  • Updating social media & Analytics
  • Liaising with a marketing supplier

Joining account managers/directors in customer meetings and proactive customer calls. Business Development & Sales driving As product knowledge grows and relationships with customers are established, the role will develop into Sales and Account Management. This entails taking more responsibility and control of some customer accounts, to continue and develop strong relationships with existing clients (many of which have spanned decades dealing with Comms UK) and to drive new business opportunities, bringing onboard new customers as your own accounts and ongoing account management and account development. There will be opportunities to be directly involved in the marketing direction and efforts with the rest of the sales team to support seeking new business opportunities.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Any sales and account management experience or IT and Telecoms, customer service experience are advantageous.
  • Critically, a positive attitude, strong rapport building skills, a competitive and persevering nature, a hunger for learning, diligence and competence, honesty and integrity will be required to be successful in selling solutions, building long term relationships and doing so upholding Comms UKs values and reputation.
  • Ability to communicate eloquently in written and verbal form.
  • Comfort and proficiency in using computer softwares such as MS Office suite and CRM systems.

Personal qualities

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

Desired qualifications

  • 5 GCSE grades at 4 (C) and above or equivalents (incl. maths & English) preferred

Future prospects

The opportunity is to become a Sales & Account Manager and to build a long-term career as part of a bright and successful team with great values and with significant earning power. The role offers a base salary, one off sales commission, recurring commission (from customers paying for monthly services) and a company car allowance.

Things to consider

16,000 PA + 2k Car Allowance + 10% Commission on GP. 23-25 days Holiday PA.
