GKN Aerospace Portsmouth have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the Procurement team as an apprentice.

It is a great opportunity to work with experienced Procurement professionals and earn a salary, whilst working towards gaining a qualification.

On completion of the apprenticeship the candidate will achieve CIPS Level 3 certificate in Procurement & Supply Chain Operations. They can then go on to achieve Level 4 Commercial Procurement and Supply.

Job Responsibilities

The role will focus on supporting the procurement team by gaining knowledge and experience in the following areas -

approval stages

the tendering cycle

preparation of evaluation documents and managing the process

contract award

contract registers

forward procurement plans

supplier relationships through contract management

Job Qualifications

Good administration and organisational skills

Good interpersonal and sound communication skills

Able to handle challenging situations

The ability to work as part of a team, under pressure and on your own initiative

Be self-motivated with a flexible and positive attitude.
