You'll work as part of an international and growing set of teams, located between Nottingham (UK) and Dusseldorf (Germany). Working closely with domain experts, creatives and platform engineers, you'll develop a deep understanding of the energy sector. How? By answering key questions about how we can improve the effectiveness of our trading strategies or efficiency of energy production. In the process, you'll analyse data, develop algorithms and create prototype software that will help us avoid risks and make the most of our opportunities. You'll also get the chance to present the findings of your analysis to important stakeholders, and to bring your data and software skills to help project teams deliver implementation plans.

In this role, you'll be joining our Modelling and Data Science team. It's our task to understand and gain insights into the dynamics of energy systems, then provide a customer focused solution to deliver real value. This includes creating and developing state-of-the-art machine learning and optimisation tools that improve the way we work - and that lead the way across the energy sector in fossil generation, renewables, storage and markets. If you have a real enthusiasm for creating and applying the very best scientific modelling methods to solve energy trading, economic optimisation and engineering challenges - you've come to the right place.
