We are seeking Graduate Project Managers to join the Electronic Warfare (EW) Line of Business. The role will cover all aspects of Project Management covering the entire lifecycle of a project, team leadership, stakeholder management, project reporting, dependency management, risk management and financial management. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for project execution and delivery, with particular emphasis on achieving customer commitments. All of this will also be supported by the Leonardo 2 year Graduate Framework training programme. All within the exciting and challenging engineering environment of our world class company.

What you will do

Key Responsibility Areas

Coordinate and manage activities of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) by establishing appropriate communication mechanisms, including meetings and reporting requirements.

Manage and report the IPTs activities, including representation of the IPT at Project Performance Reviews.

Responsible for successful delivery (on time to cost & quality) of all assigned tasks or projects across the whole life cycle including preparation, review and management of project plans, whilst mitigating risk, to ensure the business meets targets & objectives.

Establish, build and maintain strong working relationships, with both internal and external stakeholders, in order to influence project activities through effective communication.

Conduct effective risk and opportunity management, ensuring that all risks and opportunities are recorded, managed and tracked to closure.

What we are looking for

Mandatory

Please note that in order to apply for this opportunity you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance. Normally this is to the level of Security Check (typically known as SC) and meet a minimum of 5 years permanent residency in the UK

Qualifications

All of our roles require (a) a minimum of an upper Second class Bachelors/Integrated Masters degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as a MSc or PhD. In all cases the subject should be Business Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or another relevant discipline.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership skills and interpersonal techniques.

Meet the requirements for registration as an associate member of the Association of Project Managers (APM).
