Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, Building Services In November 2012, our clients launched their consultancy by Company Directors and owners. Prior to launching the business, the directors worked in an international consultancy working on large construction projects including the London 2012 Athletes Village. Their earlier careers have also given them a diversity of experience from previous consultancy practices. Our clients practise is a relatively small, forward thinking consultancy, with a wealth of experience and a personal friendly service. They are now in our 6th year, enjoying repeat business from a broad range of our clients. Our clients have now expanded their projects and are currently seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer.As a graduate in the team, you will play an integral part to contributing towards projects. Working closely with colleagues, youll provide specialist consultancy input on projects across a wide range of sectors including education

healthcare, workplace, retail and critical systems (data centres). Under the guidance of our team of experienced engineers, theyll equip you to undertake detailed mechanical building services engineering design and analysis, define and translate clients needs into designs for buildings, facilities and services (ventilation, cooling and air conditioning, heating systems and more) - all with sustainability at the forefront of the design. Youll have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and with accredited professional development programmes from CIBSE and IMechE youll be fully supported towards achieving chartership. The Skills Youll Bring Accredited with, or on course to achieve a MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, youre passionate about innovative and sustainable mechanical engineering for the built environment. Ideally, youll have furthered this interest

by undertaking some form of relevant work experience or placement/internship. You have an appreciation for the core elements of mechanical building services engineering and crucially, have a love for creative and intuitive design. Digital engineering is a big focus at, so ideally, youll have an understanding of Parametric Modelling Techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo), or at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB). You are organised and methodical in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities, you strive to meet deadlines and have a close appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions. Collaborative in nature, youll be able to empathise with your clients needs and utilise excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders. Youre used to using your initiative to overcome challenges and have a positive, can-do attitude Salary - 22,000 to 25,000 depending on experience
