Our Opportunity In the role of Graduate Electronic Design Engineer, you will be working in the Development Department within either the New Product Introduction Department or the Continuous Improvement Team.
This is a varied role with opportunities for progression and development while working on a wide variety of projects. You will be assisting, learning from and being supported by existing Engineers and trusted with individual issues or defined parts of a project owned by an experienced Engineer. You will often be working with fellow Engineers from other disciplines, to solve problems, develop and document a manufacturable and cost viable solution. We are looking for a Graduate Electronic Design Engineer to assist, learn from and be supported by existing Engineers. The Graduate Electronic Engineer role: - You will be working independently and as part of a team in the development of new products - from briefing stage, research current and mew technology, develop concepts and draw schematics, ahead of designing PCB layouts and prototyping, whilst ensuring ITL products are designed to specification, are high quality, reliable and cost effective. - Develop your expertise to manage
prototype builds, functionality and reliability testing, fault finding, reporting technical issues to project leaders where necessary, working with the Component Engineer to identify suitable components based on performance, cost and availability. - Draft system and schematic design, test and verify circuit layouts and printed circuit boards (PCBs), solve EMC and safety issues, investigating and resolving issues with new and legacy products, assist with the support and take complete ownership with some production issues and develop advisory skills on new components and technologies. - Develop relationships and work cross functionally with various teams across the business, including mechanical and software, and liaise with customers and suppliers, to ensure the efficient development of our devices. Your stretch responsibilities will include: - Contribute to the delivery of multiple electronics projects on time and to budget, developing and maintaining relationship with and
expectation of other key business functions and stakeholders, to ensure buy-in and that work outputs are aligned. - Be actively involved in the monitoring for updates to global standards and requirements that may impact ITL and their product range and advise the business on predicted impact. Work alongside Electronic Design Engineers to ensure all existing ITL certificates and declarations are kept up to date: - Standards changes - Work with other departments to verify changes - Collaborate with test labs to ensure swift testing of ITL products to required standards - Pre-submission safety inspection - Pre-compliance EMC testing in-house - Contribute to the construction and maintenance of all required documentation relating to regulatory compliance - Contribute to the development, refining an implementation of compliance strategies for the company/products - Contribute to the communication of certification approval status to rest of business Your
