As an Apprentice you will work within the HV System Design Engineering team, and will also attend college/university to follow an appropriate degree level engineering qualification linked to the business requirements.

Successful applicants will have A levels in Mathematics and Physics. In addition you will also be able to demonstrate:

Good presentation and written communication skills

Ability to work as part of cross functional teams and disciplines.

Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy

Ability to grasp the bigger picture as well as the component parts of a project

Other skills and experience which you may have are:

Ability to read specifications

Computer design skills - use of design programs and ability to create new ones

Follow procedures with a structured approach

Ability to see the overall picture - e.g. cost/options/compliance/practicality/customer awareness

Ability to use electrical knowledge with the above to find solutions to meet project requirements.

Location information - there are good public transport links to Eastleigh and we are also able to offer free car parking adjacent to the Prysmian site.
