We are looking for a passionate, motivated and enthusiastic woman committed to the Vision, Mission and Values of Valley House. Duties will include:

  • Ensuring a safe and supportive living environment for all service users, adhering to expected service standards and Valley House policies and procedures
  • Ensuring all necessary initial move in and ongoing paperwork is completed with service users
  • Carrying a caseload of service users that are accessing the service, providing 1 to 1 support
  • Reviewing all risk and need assessments and support plans in partnership with service users and in line with service expectations
  • Meeting with service users as often as required determined by the level of need agreed between the service user and support worker
  • Jointly deliver structured groupwork for service users
  • Support the delivery of informal and peer support sessions for service users
  • Providing a resettlement service for service users that have transitioned into their own accommodation through phone and face to face contact as required
  • Liaising and working effectively with a wide range of other professionals and agencies in support of the service user
  • Working with the service user and other appropriate professionals towards a planned and safe end of service
  • Ensuring internal safeguarding policies and procedures and external requirements are adhered to

We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate woman to be part of our domestic abuse safe and supported accommodation service. You will be part of a team supporting individuals and families who are fleeing domestic abuse, offering 1 to 1 and group work support to support them on their journey to recovery and independent living.

Desired qualifications

GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and maths or equivalent.

Please note that a DBS check will be required for this role.

This apprenticeship will require you to have an enhanced DBS.

We provide safe and supported accommodation to individuals and families who are experiencing personal crisis and are vulnerable to multiple disadvantages and social exclusion. This includes a Community Wellbeing service, Young Parents and victims of Domestic Abuse. We have an onsite Nursery and a Counselling service.
