Duties will include:

  • Speaking to customers to welcome them to the school
  • Using internal systems to book visitors in
  • Gain an understanding and working knowledge, allowing you to be able to offer advice
  • Ensure paperwork is kept up to date and processed correctly
  • Be confident to deal with any issues that customers have
  • Deal with complaints
  • Answer calls and customer queries
  • Email parents, teachers and external customers
  • Complete some administration tasks with the support from the Senior Administrator / School Secretary
  • Become competent in the school's Management Information System
  • Be computer competent and able to send emails
  • Be able to work in a team
  • Be able to work through tasks given independently

Personal qualities

  • An effective team player
  • Action focussed
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Desired qualifications

  • English, maths and IT GCSE grades A*-D (9-3) or equivalent

Future prospects

Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity for a full time role within the school.
