HR Wallingford is a global civil engineering hydraulic consultancy business with projects, offices and representatives worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity to join our engineering team, to further develop your own individual skills and start your civil engineering career.

A particular focus of this apprenticeship will be physical modelling work (see link below). The main duties will initially involve constructing and running physical models, data processing and analysing results. As your knowledge develop, the tasks will evolve to also include design and CAD work as well as project management.

Do you want to get involved? An apprenticeship enables you to earn a salary whilst studying for a Level 6 Degree Level Apprenticeship. You will go to University for one day and work for the rest of the week. You’ll get to work alongside and learn from our experts who have a wide range of knowledge, capability and experiences to provide you with the knowledge and skills to be a competent civil engineer.

Our clients use our skills to help them to consider and understand the marine environment at all stages of the project life cycle, from concept development and master planning through to engineering design, construction and operation.

The Degree

The degree will teach you key engineering concepts, alongside vital professional skills in management, creative skills in design of civil engineering structures and systems and practical skills in surveying, geographical information systems (GIS) and computer-aided design (CAD).

Successful learners will gain a BEng(Hons) Civil Engineering degree and qualify as a Incorporated Engineer (IEng) once they have successfully completed the End Point Assessment.
