What will you be doing?
The role holder will receive support and development to work towards and complete a Business Support Modern Apprenticeship, this will involve on the job training and external assessment. Scottish Waters Development Services Teams aim to help our customers at all stages of their development journey from planning all the way through to applying, constructing and completion.
The role is to provide administrative and business co-ordination support within the Development Services team, to help drive outstanding customer service and outperform other key regulatory targets.
Development Services ensures that Scottish Waters assets and network have both the availability and capability to deal with any new domestic and non-domestic development. This is done by understanding the future demands for water and wastewater capacity across Scotland and seek to ensure those demands can be met by promoting the right investment, in the right places, at the right time. This must be completed while also ensuring that new developments meet our technical requirements through design auditing and inspection.
The role will be initially in a brand-new team within Development Services to support business improvement across the whole department. The department completes extremely varied activities so the role holder will benefit from exposure to and development of a large range of new skills. The role holder will spend time in all areas of the department to gain a broad understanding of all the work we do.
Were looking for people who are self-motivated, team players who are well organised, good problem solvers with a positive attitude and the ability to work on your own initiative. Youll have five National 4 or 5 Qualifications (English, Maths and Science are advantageous but not essential). You must have a full or working towards a UK driving licence.
It is desirable that you have a good understanding of Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and a desire to learn new skills.
