Colt Cowls is currently seeking a Sales Office Administrator to join an experienced team in central Chichester. Responsibilities will include, answering sales calls, answering technical enquiries (training given), managing product data, order processing, general administration, liaising with a fulfilment company.

A bright hardworking enthusiastic person is required to join a busy office in central Chichester. Ideal candidates will possess a good telephone manner. Sales experience is preferable whilst flexibility and multi-tasking skills are essential. The role will also include order processing, general administration and assistance to the finance department.

Duties may inlcude:

  • Answering phones. This includes, answering price queries, completing quotes, dealing with delivery issues, advising delivery times, account Management and supporting customer enquiries, assisting with Sales enquiries. etc.
  • Rebates. On or before the 8th of every month, analysing sales for previous month for all major Builders Merchants including Jewson, TP, Grafton Group, SIG etc. plus buying groups NBG
  • Emailing sales figures and raising cheques/credit notes to be sent
  • Chasing outstanding accounts. Running a stop list of customers who owe money, and making contact with those customers to chase for payment
  • Returns. Resolving issues with returned products, recording issues and corresponding with customers concerned
  • Liaising with fulfilment company. Making sure stock is sent out on a daily basis, returns, collections, PODs etc.
  • Technical Enquiries. Good product knowledge is required to answer technical questions on flues and cowls, and possibly other loft and garden products
  • Processing orders. Raising orders to go on system for cowls and flues, internet and others. Taking payments on PDQ machine, and completing daily ANR
  • Assistance to the Accounts/Finance Department
  • General office administration. May include filing, post duties, health and safety and more
  • Website administration. Ensuring that what is displayed on the website is correct in terms of cost, delivery and detail. If a product is out of stock website should be updated accordingly

Finally, the apprentice moves on to the final stage of end-point assessment made up of the following assessment methods:

  • On-Line Multi-Choice Test (20%)
  • Portfolio-based Interview (40%)
  • Project/Improvement Presentation (40%)
