BMW UK, Farnborough - Network Performance - 13 Month Placement (June 2021)

Network Performance is a section within the BMW sales department. The aim of Network Performance is to support the BMW & MINI Retailer network with information, programmes and systems to improve their sales and business performance. The current key areas of operation are Retailer Management Systems, Network Mystery Shopping, Industry Surveys, Sales and Management Coaching, Retailer Communications Platform and Online Sales Systems & Platforms


What will you be doing?
* You will be working in a role where no two days are the same, where you will learn and develop through taking real responsibility of key topics in Network Performance
* Using your analytical skills you will provide analytics support for department's various retailer performance programmes
* In order to improve retailer performance you will explore correlations between various key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement
* Provide day to day assistance to our innovative online vehicle sales programmes team
* Part of your remit will be to support an extensive mystery shopping programme, providing essential information on the customer experience within the BMW/MINI retailer network
* Moving projects forward through collaboration. For example, research projects with Retailer network to identify current behaviour and future network support requirements
* Ensuring retailers are fully informed and up to date you will work to maintain department Retailer Hub pages.
* Design, collation and distribution of monthly departmental update/kpi pack
* First level support for all department enquiries via the department inbox
* Further general administration responsibilities consisting of the organisation of weekly departmental meetings, maintenance of key retailer contact databases and creation of department presentations.
* Using your communication skills you will develop your business knowledge and enhance your network by liaising with departments throughout the National sales company

* Studying toward a degree in a Business or Management discipline and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above (Please note that our Undergraduate Placement opportunities are only open to students who will be returning to their studies following their placement with us)
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel and Powerpoint
* Experience in retail is desirable
* Strong relationship building skills and a professional level of customer service, showing exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Good organisational and time management skills, and ability to show high attention to detail to every task
* Ability to work at both a detailed and high level, prioritise activities, work under pressure and multi-task
* A Full UK Driving License is preferable but not essential
