This is a 12-15 month apprenticeship with the view of the successful candidate being offered full time employment. The successful candidate will work towards the Level 2 Supply Chain Operator apprenticeship standard.

The successful applicant will learn about the business, transport management and traffic planning, whilst completing hands-on, and accredited CPC training.

Duties will include:
To learn about Greencarrier and how the business operates
Shadow a small, friendly team and learn about transport management and traffic planning
Managing and liaising with drivers and sub-contractors
Ensuring legality and compliance
Speaking to suppliers are ensuring exceptional customer service
Data input, and using a computerised transport system
Tracking and providing updates for customers on the status of shipments
Schedule vehicle maintenance and report any issues to the relevant person
Briefing / de-briefing drivers
To undertake relevant training as appropriate
Strong computer skills will be required
General administrative duties
All other duties as required
As an apprentice you will work from the employers location and be allocated a Tutor who will visit you in the workplace to deliver training and assessments. You will also receive full training and support from the employers team, with the opportunity of accredited CPC training.
