You will be working towards your L3 Supporting Teaching and Learning apprenticeship by assisting in a range of duties relevant to your studies, you will also be set aside time to complete your learning.

Duties:

  • Undertake a behaviour support role within the classroom
  • Target support, in particular at those students on the SEN register
  • Communicating and consulting with the teachers and tutor of the assigned students, in order to effectively support learning
  • Promote at all times the well being and progress of the assigned students
  • Advise teachers, as appropriate, of strategies for supporting individual students
  • Fully support the aims, ethos, values and policies of the school
  • Provide or contribute to assessments or reports relating to individuals/group of students as required
  • Undertake training necessary for the successful execution of the role
  • In addition, attend all Inset Days and department meetings
  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality of data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
  • Accompany teaching staff and students on visits, trips and out of school activities as required and take responsibility for a group under the supervision of the teacher
  • Interacting with children in a fun and educational manner

GCSEs grade A*-C (9-4) or equivalents in maths and English.

Enhanced DBS clearance.

Holiday entitlement: The role is term time only.
