Total Living Care are offering a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Apprentice Office Coordinator whilst completing a Level 3 Business Administration with Babcock Training

Purpose of the Post

We are looking for someone that can assist you with duties in the office potentially leading to office manager following successful completion of the apprenticeship.

This is a great opportunity for someone to experience the care sector in an office role.

As an Apprentice Office Coordinator, you will be highly motivated, multi-skilled and ambitious.

You will be responsible to the Office Manager and undertake the following duties with full training and support;

  • To help look after rota for 70 clients to make sure all clients are rotored on with a carer
  • Opening and directing our post
  • Answering telephone calls
  • Sending emails
  • Printing
  • Scanning
  • Organising meetings
  • Responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of self and colleagues in accordance with the requirements of the organisational Health and Safety Policies

As an apprentice you will be included on a L3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard with Babcock Training. This will involve one to one training with a Regional Trainer who will meet with you on a regular basis.

Whilst on the apprenticeship you will be entitled to an NUS card https://www.apprenticeextra.co.uk/

Qualifications required

GCSE English and Maths Grade 4/C or above is an advantage but not essential

Things to consider

The working hours are 37.5 hours per week made up with 30 hours in the office between 9-15.30 Monday to Friday plus extra hours up to 37.5 per week with time paid to complete apprenticeship work, and bit of office work given to take home.

The weekly wage 225.00- 243.75 equates to 6.00 -6.50 per hour depending on previous qualifications or experience..

The successful candidate will be in enrolled onto a L3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.

Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.

Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role. Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
