Precision engineering company looking to take on an apprentice to support the existing team and to learn skills and knowledge in the sector. Successful candidate will learn all aspects of use of lathes, milling machines both manual and CNC.
Duties include:
- Following Health & Safety procedures
- Working flexibly across different machines according to customer orders
- Assisting other Engineers as required, maintaining records of orders and progress of jobs
- Using and understanding engineering drawings
- Operate CNC and manual lathes and milling machines
- A good level of English and maths is essential although further training for these areas will be included in the apprenticeship
- Ability to recognise tools and equipment associated with the sector
- Previous experience is not necessary but a keen interest is beneficial
- Good communication skills both verbal and written

- Commitment to learning and work
Desired qualifications
- GCSE's (or equivalent) A*-C (9-4) or equivalent preferred but not essential
Future prospects
