Under the guidance of teachers, the apprentice will be involved in working with children to support the education, personal and social development of pupils and establishing positive relationships to assist in structured learning activities. Duties may include, supporting in learning activities, producing learning resources and assisting in the development of skills that support childrens learning.

What will the apprentice be doing?

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As part of this role the successful candidate will be expected to work towards and complete the apprenticeship standard of Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The apprentice will be supported with internal on-the-job training. Maths, English and ICT functional skills must be completed as part of the apprenticeship, if GCSE C/4 has not previously been achieved.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There is no guarantee of a role at the end of this apprenticeship, but support will be given.
