Work alongside an experienced Foreperson, and as part of a a larger on-site team providing a professional and efficient service, ensuring excellent standards, productivity levels and deadlines are being achieved.

Learn all the skills necessary to become a qualified landscaper including

+ soil management and preparation,

+ planting out of shrubs and herbaceous plants,

+ tree installation,

+ preparation for turfing and laying,

+ mulching,

+ tool and equipment selection and use.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

Applicants must be 18 or above as most of our works is on construction sites and under 18s are not allowed on site

Must be prepared to sit CSCS test prior to starting apprenticeship or within first month of starting.

GCSE Level maths & English are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications required

+ The ability to follow instructions from the team Foreperson and work well with your fellow colleagues to complete landscaping finishes to the highest standard.

+ You will need good communication skills.

+ Experience of working/participating in a team environment

+ Written, verbal and listening skills

Future prospects

A permanent position may be offered upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Opportunity to learn and develop within the company.

Progression to foreperson or supervisor role.

Opportunity to gain CPCS Qualification in dumper and excavator operating.

Things to consider

A driving license or a willingness to learn to drive would be desirable.

You will be expected to share a van with your Foreperson.

Ensure that both the Companys Health and Safety policies and those of the client/site are rigorously adhered to.

Training to be provided

+ Full level 2 horticuture and landscape operative apprenticeship

+ First Aid Qualification

+ Manual Handling

+ PA1 & PA6
