We have an exciting opportunity available to be an Apprentice Customer Service Officer within the Customer Service Team.
You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service over the telephone, being the first point of contact for the council, providing appropriate guidance and support to those who need it and ensuring all customer experiences are easy, effective and convenient. You will respond to enquiries across a range of platforms including telephony, e mails and Webchat. These enquiries will come from residents, businesses, visitors and partners and will cover all aspects of council business.
Working as part of a team, you will take a customer focused approach to all enquiries, help increase first point resolution and ensure we are a customer focused organisation. You will also promote our digital channels to ensure we are continually improving the customer experience.
Our apprenticeships allow you the opportunity to factor study time into your working life. We support you through coaching and mentoring to enable you to gain your qualification and personal development.
It is essential that you have customer service experience. You should also have excellent written and communication skills and are an organised individual who can manage their own time.
