This apprenticeship offers an opportunity to be part of this small but growing business, and as such to learn all aspects of production brewing under the expert guidance and supervision of an experienced professional brewer.
Being a very small family-run brewery, every member of the team can expect to take on real responsibility and get involved in all aspects of the business. Besides beer production, this might also include helping with in-house events, festivals, and tap-takeovers.
Our standard working week is Monday to Friday (9.00 to 5.30), but being so small flexibility is sometimes needed (e.g. occasional weekend work by prior arrangement). This is a busy and ever-growing role so other duties may be expected.
With appropriate training, your duties will include:
?Making beer - recipe design, ordering raw materials, wort production, cellar management, quality control
?Packaging beers into cans, kegs, and bottles
?Keeping the brewery tidy and maintaining the cleanliness of all brewery equipment
?Ensuring compliance with relevant quality/health and safety standards and legislation
?Ensuring compliance with production quality processes
?Maintaining record keeping and quality control to a high standard in line with company policies
?Assisting the Lead Brewer in maintaining all brewery equipment to ensure it is fully functional at all times
?Represent the company at selected industry events by prior arrangement
?Represent the company with professionalism, knowledge, and passion at all times
