Adult Care Worker level 2 Apprenticeship working in theAdult Social care team. This role is working in the Adult Social Care supportteam, which helps to support our Adult care services within Brent.
To work as part of a team providing a high quality careservices for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autismand challenging behaviour which enables service users to live with a maximum ofchoice and independence, participating in a wide range of community basedactivities, designed to meet their individual needs.
Towork to support service users in a respectful, honest, supportive andempowering manner, according to the standards lay out by Brent Council and theDirect Service Unit
Towork with individual service users to identify life goals and to work with theTeam Leaders to ensure service users outcomes are being achieved
Tosupport service users in planning and organising social, recreational andleisure activities, planning journeys, holidays, attending appointments andaccompanying service users on such activities
Effectivewritten, word processing and verbal communication, skills
Demonstrativeability to be sensitive, respectful an appropriate in dealing with serviceusers, families and other associates of the service users
Goodcommunication and people skills
Keen to learn, you willdemonstrate good communication skills, an understanding of good customerservice, team work and an interest in developing a career in Adult social care.
You are compassionate andempathetic in your approach while supporting people with learning disabilitiesand autism. It is essential to demonstrate that treating individuals withdignity and respect comes naturally and that you understand that our clientshave a right to expect this.
You will be expected to work as part of a teamwork and haveexcellent communication skills.

English andMaths level 2 is desirable, but not essential and can be added as part of theapprenticeship. However, these must be completed prior to the end of theapprenticeship.
Good IT skillsincluding knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is desirable.
