On a Summer Intern placement, over 12 weeks, you will be expected to be involved in a number of areas in order to develop a broad understanding of Human factors and Ergonomics
Human Factors (HF) engineers support the Human Engineering process by applying specific knowledge and analytical methods covering the full width of the HF skill set to ensure the resulting system/service is able to perform its mission, achieve its goals and be supported in its operational environment.
This includes consideration of human characteristics (anthropometry, sensory capabilities, etc.) and the effects of stress, workplace design, information and control requirement definition within human machine interfaces and environmental ergonomics.
Follow your passion with the following responsibilities
On an undergraduate placement you will be expected to be involved in a number of areas potentially at different sites in order to develop a broad understanding of aircraft systems and the activities undertaken in the design, development, test, maintenance and support of such systems from a Human Factors perspective.
These activities may relate to our current and future aircraft and associated human interaction technologies.
As part of a small team you will be working with our pilots and other engineers to design, develop and test various aspects of a design. You will be hands on and the role will be as varied as possible.
As a minimum requirement youll need to be on course for achieving a 2:2 in your Bachelor’s degree.
