On a Summer Internship, over 12 weeks, you will be expected to be involved in a number of areas in order to develop a broad understanding of the Products and Services we are involved with.

Identify, develop and win new business as part of a collaborative team with expertise in sales, marketing, customer relations, bid and proposal production, events and exhibitions. You’ll help define country and regional strategies, identify routes to market for our products and services, and gain experience of stakeholder management and building customer relationships.

Follow your passion with the following responsibilities :

Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing and winning new business to drive and achieve growth aligned with the company strategy. This includes sales and marketing as well as aspects of offset, customer relations, bid / proposal production, customer and market analysis, events and exhibitions.

You will have the opportunity to support many aspects of Business Winning across the Air business, including providing support to our Campaigns, Market Development & Competitor/ Campaign reviews. We are actively pursuing export campaigns for Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft, Hawk aircraft plus other campaigns involving our Training, Future Aircraft activities and Defence Information Services.

Qualification requirements

To join our Business Summer Internship scheme you must be on course for at least a 2:2 Bachelors degree in a related subject such as Marketing, International Business, Business & Administration or a Social, Political or Marketing.

We ask all candidates to apply online using our application form to ensure our selection process is completely fair and consistent. Following your online application you will be invited to undertake a virtual assessment involving gamified assessment challenges and video questions. 

If you are successful you will be invited to either a virtual or face-to-face interview. Our main recruitment window runs from the beginning of September every year. Please note: where sufficient applications have been received these roles be closed therefore early application is advised. If you are successful you will commence your Summer Internship in June 2022.

Summer internships are open to all university year groups however individuals who are due to graduate prior to the commencement dates of our undergraduate programmes are not eligible to apply and should instead consider applying for one of our graduate offerings.
