In the two years that you’re a part of our graduate programme, we’ll give you all the support you need to achieve chartered status and the opportunity to do placements in a variety of business areas. We’ll ensure we maximise your skills, confidence and experience.

You will also be assigned a graduate buddy who will be more of peer support and will help you move smoothly from student to professional life.

 

Electrical Engineering & Maintenance Programme

Engineering and Maintenance at Sellafield Ltd face some of the most unique & challenging work in the industry, and our profession enables us to accelerate high hazard reduction in a safe, environmentally responsible, cost-effective and pragmatic manner.

Responsibility starts on day one of the graduate scheme within Engineering and Maintenance. You will be assigned specific tasks and be expected to contribute to real work. Responsibility increases as you develop your skills and knowledge. You complete different placements within Engineering and Maintenance as well as completing the practical Engineering Skills course and rotation through our Product Development Centre. These placements will allow you to develop and demonstrate your technical expertise in your discipline.

As part of our 24-month Electrical Engineering & Maintenance graduate programme, you will be based at Sellafield in West Cumbria.  

 

About you

For our Electrical Engineering & Maintenance programme, we are looking for graduates who meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant degree discipline, such as; Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Achieved a minimum of a 2:1 classification.
  • Graduated within 3 years of the programme start date (Start date: Sept 2021).
