Mondelez International is hiring a chocolate tester for Cadbury

Whoa guys, whoa. We might have just found the best job in the history of all the jobs ever. Confectionery conglomerate (say that three times fast) Mondelez International are officially hiring a part-time chocolate tester for Cadbury. 👏👏👏

The Mondelez International Chocolate Tester Job

If you’re into chocolate (who isn’t?) the job will involve tasting products from your favourite chocolate and cocoa beverage companies. We’re talking Cadbury, Milka, Prince Oreo and more. 🍫

The wonderfully earnest job advertisement asks candidates whether they aspire for “the chance, each and every day, to put a smile on people’s faces.” But if you’re thinking that this job will just be a piece of (chocolate) cake, you’d be wrong.

Breaking down the key responsibilities

Firstly, you’ll need to be able to provide honest and objective feedback about the chocolate product you’re tasting. This means not only must you have a discerning taste palette for chocolate, but you’ll need to be able to describe the difference in taste in a detailed manner.

Secondly, the job calls for strong team-working skills. Seems that you’ll be working on a panel of taste testers, and will have to collaborate to reach an agreement on taste.

Thirdly, you have to be organised. The job calls for ‘consistency in the results given’, after all.

The requirements for a chocolate tester job

This is a refreshingly equal opportunities position, it seems. There’s no degree involved, and seems to be a job that is more about whether you fit the company culture.

The most requirements seem to be “a passion for confectionery,” “honesty” and “a firm grasp of the English language.” Doesn’t seem out of our ball park at all! Having said that, having such a vague list of requirements means that tailoring your application might be a bit more of a challenge.

If you’re keen on applying, best do it quickly! They’ll close the job advert as soon as they feel they’ve had enough applications. If you’re interested in a job that’ll give you a pension, generous holiday allowance, benefits AND CHOCOLATE, you can apply right here.
